Investigation Finds That Recent Disruptions in Service are Isolated to Specific ISPs
To our valued customers,
We have experienced an unusual number of reports regarding problems with stuttering streams and excessive buffering in recent days, particularly from customers of Verizon’s internet service. We conducted a thorough investigation as a response to these complaints, and we can state confidently that the recent outages are not related to any problems or malfunctions with our service. While we cannot be entirely sure about the exact root of the problems without an official statement by the internet service providers (ISPs) whose customers are affected, we believe that they are related to a recent increase in the volume of Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks being conducted on high-bandwidth networks.
We understand your frustration at some of the
disruptions in service that have occurred, but please rest assured that we do
our best every day to ensure that there are no problems on our end interfering
with the delivery of streams to viewers worldwide. If you experience complaints
from a subset of viewers about their streams stuttering, please ask them to
contact their ISPs first, since most problems with stream reception tend to be
associated with slow or overloaded internet connections.
To be more responsive in future cases, Tulix Systems will
begin posting any information regarding disruptions in service on our Twitter. Be
sure to follow us there for all urgent and emergency notifications, as well as
live updates on what we are doing to resolve any ongoing issues. We appreciate
the patience you have shown during our investigation of these recent problems and
thank you for your continued trust in Tulix.
